What Lies Beneath

Over the summer my appreciation for the art of sexy unmentionables and lacy underpinnings has grown along with my admiration for the classic burlesque beauties. These icons were pioneers in the taboo movement of lingerie to be seen rather than undegarments out of necesity. Whether you are buying these to share with someone or simply out of the love for delicate silky things, they are truly exquisite and wonderfully indulgent!

Look Into My Crystal Ball

Richly colored silks; moody makeup; draped silhouettes. What's not to love? It is definitely a trend that is influencing my fall wardrobe, and my halloween costume!

Don't sweat the small stuff

Now that the school year has begun, I am extremely tempted to step out in sweats on a daily basis. It really is horrible habit, but these two looks show how even the most dedicated sweatpants fan can look uniquely chic!

Beautifully Morbid

I've been really into accessories that are bizarre and spooky. The following pieces are beautiful in a morbid way or simply statement pieces. Enjoy!

ARAKS Spring 2011

So after five months interning at ARAKS the day of the show finally arrived and it was absolutely breathtaking! How amazing to be able to see and be apart of a collection from start to finish. The collection has such fluidity and masters the combination of the elegant and the whimsical with her trademark collars, sheer, and never overdone glamour. I particularly loved the many bustles throughout the collection and the refreshing color palette. It is truly a standout season for the designer.
